The Ambassador Bridge is one of the busiest border
crossings between international countries in the
world. It is reported that over 10,000 commercial
vehicles pass through the crossing each business day.
Precast was utilized for the expansion project due
to the minimization of activity at the jobsite and the
ease and quickness with which it is installed.
Many production, shipping, and installation obstacles
were overcome due to the massive size of these
components as well as the tight access restrictions
required in order to not disrupt traffic on the existing
structure.
