Aveda Corporation’s newest distribution facility in Blaine, Minn., opened on its scheduled occupancy date of March 1, 2005, thanks in part to leading precast concrete wall panel producer, Fabcon.
CSM Corporation and RJ Ryan consulted with Fabcon to meet the tight construction schedule. Stepping in at the last minute, Fabcon helped avert a potential scheduling challenge by holding a production slot while the land negotiations were finalized. Fabcon manufactured and erected the panels in just four weeks, helping Aveda make a smooth transition.

The Aveda project features custom-designed panels that maintain aesthetic integrity, with an exterior look and feel matching Aveda’s neighboring corporate campus buildings.

Technical Notes:

• 70,000 square feet of 8.5-inch and 12-inch VersaCore™ precast concrete wall panels were used.

• The custom look on the 47’ tall panels was created with white silica sand, 100 percent white cement and a flat, exposed aggregate finish.
