Mt. Carmel Hospital, a busy and growing urban Columbus hospital, needed to expand its administrative offices but lacked the space to support the additional traffic and parking such a development would require. In addition, construction could not obstruct the critical, day-to-day operations of the hospital.

Enter Flexicore Systems, Inc. and Ruscilli Construction with a proposal for a strong, cost-effective composite structure; a steel office building erected atop a Dyna-Frame II precast concrete multi-level parking garage.

Because of time, site restrictions and cost limitations, the composite structure incorporated steel, cast-in-place concrete shear walls and precast concrete construction made the most sense. Flexible and easy to use, Dyna-Frame II accommodated the other two systems quickly, efficiently and cost-effectively. Flexicore System design engineers and construction crews played an active integral role every step of the way.
