The new Salin Bank building in downtown Fort Wayne, IN needed to reflect its historic surroundings. In order to accomplish this, the architect, MSKTD & Associates, Inc. of Fort Wayne, chose architectural precast concrete furnished by Precast Specialties, Inc. located in Monroeville, IN.

By using architectural precast concrete the architect received the color uniformity and design freedoms he wanted while using the precast in a structural capacity as well. Precast Specialties, Inc. assisted the architect with detailing, color selection, and structural design. This assured the owner and the architect that the new Salin Bank would have an attractive yet efficient and economical building facade.

Following is a quotation from the project architect.

"Buff-Colored precast concrete was used with brick on the Salin Bank building to better blend with the historic context of downtown Fort Wayne. The design flexibility of the material allowed us to create varying unique shapes, which would have been difficult and cost prohibitive to cut out of limestone. The interesting forms created by the precast concrete helped to create a landmark building which will last for decades to come."
