Schlow Memorial Library
State College, Pennsylvania

Precast, prestressed concrete products provided a dual solution for the design criteria on this new public library project in State College, Pennsylvania. Fire protection for the underground parking level was required. Also, the loading conditions of 150 psf were easily handled by the prestressed concrete system and no additional fireproofing was required.

Precast concrete also allowed Pittsburgh Flexicore to erect the total system in only 6 days.
