As PCI Central Region’s Director of Education and Engagement, Heather leads the Emerging Leaders Academy, manages outreach and event planning, oversees AIA and continuing education programs, and supports day-to-day operations. She is committed to leadership development, member engagement, and strengthening connections across the industry. Previously, Heather was a Professor of Management at Ball State University and Appalachian State University, where she also served as department chair and sat on College of Business Executive Committees at both institutions, and directed the Center for Entrepreneurship at ASU. She taught courses in leadership, strategy, entrepreneurship, and sustainable business. Before entering academia, Heather held management roles in both a large financial services corporation and a private entrepreneurial venture, drawing on her roots in family business. She is a proud founding board member of the STEPS of Faith Foundation and has served on the board for ten years. Heather holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Strategic Management and Policy from the University of Arkansas, an MBA from Wichita State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Management from Eckerd College.
