Make It a Getaway!
Bring your significant others and families and turn your time in Detroit into a memorable getaway. In recent years, Detroit’s downtown revitalization, architectural legacy, and cultural resurgence have earned national and international attention—earning its place as one of America’s most compelling cities to visit right now.
Over the past three years, Detroit has been named one of the New York Times’ “52 Places to Go” and included on Travel + Leisure’s Top Places to Visit, praised for its creative momentum, walkable urban core, and growing culinary and arts scenes. Condé Nast Traveler also selected Detroit as one of its Best Places to Go, highlighting the city’s global influence in music, leadership in mobility innovation, and transformational investment reshaping downtown.
Further recognition came from AFAR, which included Detroit on its Where to Go list as one of just 25 global destinations and one of only four Great American Cities to visit. AFAR spotlighted Detroit’s thoughtful reinvention—where historic landmarks are being reimagined for modern use—including Michigan Central and the Cambria Hotel Detroit Downtown, your host hotel housed in a restored Albert Kahn–designed building.
From world-class museums and riverfront parks to iconic architecture, sports, and dining, Come early or stay a little longer. Detroit offers something for everyone.
